”Life is like a movie, write your own ending”
-Jim Henson
I have wanted to be a puppeteer since I was a kid. Fascinated, I watched The Muppet Show and could only think “I want to do that!” I started with a store bought puppet named Seymour, then went on to create a puppet from a knit hat and a pair of jeans legs. I practiced every day and could often be seen walking around talking to the puppet on my hand. I mailed a letter to Jim Henson asking how to become a muppeteer and many weeks later actually got a lovely answer. However due to an unfortunate comment from someone I love I gave up puppeteering. Now mostly I just make puppets and pass them on to puppeteers who bring them alive. My favorite fabric is fleece and my favorite pattern is the Glorified Sock Puppet from The Puppet Factory.
